Worship with Hillsong United

Last night one of my dreams came true (as cheesy as that sounds)...I worshipped with Hillsong United live at Fellowship.

Thanks to God placing me at the right church at the right time, I was here when Hillsong stopped at Fellowship on their tour of the U.S. I mean, really, what are the odds? It had to be a God-thing, right? Well we had a sold-out house here last night and I was able to be down front jumping and praising God with students from FC and churches all over the metroplex...it was incredible.

Rocky Mountain High in Colorado...

Erin and I at the Red Rocks

On Thursday I flew to Denver to spend the weekend with one of my favorite people...Erin McClintock!!! We had a whirlwind time in the 2 1/2 days that I was in Colorado. Here's a summary: checking out her campus and attending a psych class with her at Colorado Christian University, explored Boulder, CO where I bought a new pair of chacos (the best shoes in the world) and ate dinner at a Flaffel restaurant, hiked in the Rocky Mountains, thrift shopped, went to an amazing folk/acoustic show and coffee shops in Denver, ate cinnamon rolls and hiked the Red Rocks, and went to Erin's favorite organic hang-out...good times! I love Erin and I love the outdoors, so the trip was a huge success. Erin is doing wonderfully, becoming more and more of hippy with her new dreads (they look amazing). She is blessed with 5 wonderful roommates and some great friends in Denver. The only thing that could have made the trip better was more time. I could have easily stayed and filled up a couple more days. Thanks Erin...you're the best!

Camping with the girls...

There is nothing better than camping with a bunch of girls...and that's what I got to do last Thursday to celebrate Easter coming! I took a group of about 15 to Grapevine Lake to have a girls' night camping. Two of my favorite people, J.R. Kirkpatrick and Kristin DeRight helped "chaperone" with me. I loved that we again had a group of kids that had never slept in tents before. The night was a little chilly, it dropped to the 40's, so it was a new experience for these Texans! We made smores, played sardines and charades, and laughed a ton! Okay, enough about the trip...here are the pictures from it (taken by Kristin). Here's the list of girls that went: Kristin, J.R., me, Whitnye Murdoch, Julie Born, Ashley T., Caroline Harris, Kellie Ellis, Moe O'Brien, Kelsey, Sydney Anderson, Kelly Chasteen, Kelsey McMinn, Ashley, and Marissa Morton!!! I love these girls :)
